Jailer Michael Humphrey

Michael W. Humphrey started his career by being elected to the office of Jailer in 1993 and taking over as Jailer on January 1, 1994 and is now serving his 6th term.

He has served in the Kentucky Jailer Association as a board member since 2001. Michael is very active in Carroll County, he is a past member of the Westside Fire Department, Carrollton Masonic Lodge 134 F&AM, Carroll County Fair Board, member and past president of the Carroll County Extentions Council, Member Extention Foundation, Volunteer for 4-H, Volunteer for Shop with a cop, Volunteer for Senior Citizen Events, Leader of Christmas for the Citizen, Volunteer for River Sweep, and a member of the Carroll County Cattleman's Association & Farmers Market. Member and past president of Jailers of North Kentucky and winner of the Jailer of the Year Award in 2006. This award is given to one jailer a year out of 120 for their past and present work here in the county and state.
